This is a proper leather belt -- thick, strong and pleasant to touch.
It is describes as distressed, but the picture on the web site does not fully reflect to what extent this is the case -- the outer surface of the belt is more wavy than it appears to be in that photo. This was somewhat unexpected but actually adds interest to the product.
Wonderful old fashioned feel of good quality leather, well made, solid buckle too. Perfect!
Genuine leather and durable. What could be better... perhaps the buckle, as it is attached to the belt, could be stitched instead of fastened with a screw and wouldn't wobble. But it's still good.
