Our black ties are also available in a variety of materials, including silk, polyester, wool and even leather. Each fabric has its own unique characteristics and look; if you would like a further explanation, have a look on our main men's ties section

Tying your black tie
Did you know there was more than one way to tie your tie? This will add style points when people view your creativity in tying your tie, and a point of distinction.
This is the easiest way of tying one’s tie and also the most common. Unsurprisingly it takes four steps, indicated in its’ name.
The Half Windsor
Taking nine whole steps this is a complex knot to tie but as indicated by the name, is rather fancy especially if you are looking to impress.
Clearly twice as fancy as the above. Requires the same amount of steps (nine!) but looks thicker for that extremely distinguished look. We warn you however, this knot will be exuding an impressive amount of class.
If you’re looking for something in between the Four-in-Hand and the Half Windsor we have the Pratt Knot, which is also known as the Shelby. This takes six steps to tie.
